Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-04

1. Service Description

Orbit ("Platform", "we", "us") is an AI model aggregation gateway that provides unified API access to multiple large language model providers operating in the People's Republic of China. Through a single OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, users can access text, image, video, and audio generation models from providers including DeepSeek, Qwen, Moonshot, MiniMax, Zhipu AI, ByteDance, and Stepfun.

We act as an intermediary routing service. We do not train, fine-tune, or host AI models ourselves. Responses are generated by third-party model providers and passed through to you.

2. Account Terms

You must register for an account to use the Platform. You may register using a valid email address or a Chinese mobile phone number (+86). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

API keys issued to your account are your responsibility. Do not share API keys publicly or embed them in client-side code. If you believe your key has been compromised, revoke it immediately from the console and generate a new one.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Billing and Credits

The Platform operates on a prepaid credit system. You must top up your account balance before making API calls that incur charges. Credits are denominated in CNY (Chinese Yuan).

A platform service fee is applied on top of provider costs. The current fee schedule is published in the console under Billing. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.

Credits that have already been consumed in API calls are non-refundable. Unused credit balances may be refunded at our discretion upon account closure, subject to a processing fee. Contact us at the address below to request a refund of unused credits.

We are not liable for losses arising from incorrect usage, unintended API calls, or third-party provider outages that result in credit deduction without successful model output.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform for any purpose that:

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation of the People's Republic of China or your jurisdiction;
  • Generates, distributes, or promotes illegal content, including content that endangers national security, incites violence, or constitutes fraud;
  • Harasses, threatens, or harms any individual;
  • Infringes intellectual property rights of any third party;
  • Involves systematic scraping, automated abuse, or denial-of-service attacks against the Platform or third parties;
  • Attempts to reverse-engineer, circumvent rate limits, or otherwise undermine the integrity of the Platform.

Rate limits apply per API key and per account tier. Exceeding rate limits will result in request throttling. Persistent abuse may result in account suspension.

5. API Usage

The Platform provides an OpenAI-compatible REST API. You are responsible for ensuring that your integration correctly handles errors, timeouts, and rate-limit responses. We do not guarantee 100% availability of any specific model or provider.

Model availability, pricing, and capabilities are subject to change based on upstream provider decisions. We will endeavor to provide advance notice of significant changes via the Platform console or registered contact information.

Your use of the API is also subject to the terms of service of the underlying model providers. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with those terms as applicable to your use case.

6. Data Handling

API requests you submit are forwarded to the relevant model provider to generate responses. We do not permanently store the content of your prompts or model outputs beyond what is necessary for real-time routing and short-term logging.

We log metadata about API calls — including model used, token counts, latency, and cost — for billing, usage analytics, and abuse detection. This metadata is retained and visible in your console.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection, storage, and your rights.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform solely for your own lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any content you submit via the API. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process and forward that content as necessary to deliver the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon account closure, your API keys will be revoked and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or that continued access poses a risk to the Platform or other users. In cases of suspected fraud or abuse, suspension may be immediate without prior notice.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be submitted to the competent people's court in the jurisdiction where we are registered.

We encourage users to contact us first to resolve disputes informally before initiating formal proceedings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform console or your registered contact. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Contact

For questions about these Terms, please contact us through the Platform console or via the contact information published on our website.
